Study in Osaka, a city of cutting edge technology and traditional culture

Osaka, along with Kyoto and Kobe, is a city that has prospered since ancient times.
As one of Japan's three major metropolitan areas, it has a well-developed railway network, skyscrapers, and shopping malls, allowing you to live an urban life no different from Tokyo.
Osaka is also known as a commercial city, so it's easy to find part-time work, and rent and prices are low, making it an easy place to live.
The Shinsaibashisuji shopping street near the school is bustling with many visitors every day.

Additionally, Japanese has different dialects in each region, and the Kansai dialect used in Osaka has become mainstream through television.
Behind this lies a culture of performing arts such as rakugo and manzai, and communication that incorporates laughter is one of the attractions of living in Osaka.

Principal's Greetings

Human Academy Japanese Language School was established in 1987 and will celebrate its 40th anniversary in 2027.

Many of our students have gone on to graduate school, university, or vocational school, or have found employment in Japan or are using Japanese in their home countries. We are one of the largest Japanese language schools in Japan, where you can study alongside people from approximately 60 countries.

The distinctive feature of our school is that we develop the communication skills necessary for using Japanese in real-world situations. In our classes, we use an action-centered approach and active learning style in which students take the lead, implementing a peer learning method in which students cooperate with each other to improve their skills through dialogue.

Starting at the beginning of enrollment and continuing every three months, we evaluate each student's Japanese language ability based on our school's evaluation criteria and place them in appropriate classes. Furthermore, we actively support students in pursuing higher education at graduate schools, universities, and vocational schools. We offer numerous practical training sessions for further education and employment, including interview preparation courses, information sessions, and individual interview workshops led by graduates. We provide a variety of courses to help students choose the most suitable learning method and course for them.

There are many wonderful places in Japan besides Tokyo. Among them, Osaka is known as the "city of gluttony," where you can enjoy food from all over the world. Osaka people are also said to be characterized by their warmth, lively atmosphere, and helpfulness. We look forward to welcoming you to Human Academy Japanese Language School Osaka, where you can experience the wonderful culture of Japan, including Kyoto and Nara. We are excited to meet you.

Faculty Introduction

Fumi Okamoto

Okamoto Fumi

hello everyone.
This is Fumiko Okamoto from Human Academy Japanese Language School, Osaka Campus.
I joined the company as a full-time lecturer in July 2024.
Having worked in various fields, primarily in the education industry, for over 30 years, I was drawn to the opportunity to interact with people from all over the world and help expand the possibilities for international students, which led me to pursue a career as a Japanese language instructor.
Currently, I'm involved not only in teaching but also in supporting students with job hunting and further education.

In our classes, we value creating a reassuring atmosphere where students feel comfortable making mistakes.
Let's talk a lot, laugh a lot, and learn practical Japanese that you can use in real life.

One of the biggest attractions of this school, which attracts students from all over the world, is the opportunity to learn while being exposed to diverse cultures and ways of thinking.
I myself get to hear stories about various countries from the students, so I feel like I'm traveling the world every day!

At school, I want to be like an "Osaka mother," warmly and wholeheartedly supporting everyone so that their dreams can come true.
I'm looking forward to studying with all of you.

Aya Itzaki

Hello everyone. My name is Aya Itsuzaki, and I work at Human Academy Japanese Language School Osaka Branch. I joined the company as a full-time instructor in July 2018. I am currently in charge of career guidance.

Why did you decide to study abroad in Japan? There are probably many reasons, such as wanting to go to a Japanese vocational school or university, wanting to work in Japan, or because you like Japanese culture.

I also studied abroad when I was a student. There were times when I couldn't express my thoughts well and I struggled with the difficulties of my studies, but I was supported by many people and it was a very valuable experience.

It may be difficult to get used to your new environment, but please feel free to ask for help whenever you are in trouble. Let's do our best together! People from many countries with various goals come to study here, and I think one of the attractions of Human Academy Japanese Language School is that you can make friends with people from many different countries. Our instructors and administrative staff will work together to provide you with all our support so that you can become a talented person who can play an active role in the international community in the future.

I am looking forward to seeing you all at school! Thank you!
